Evaluation Question 6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
The technologies I used:

Photoshop is where I done most of my work and all of the work with photos. When using photoshop I came across tools I had never used before. Tools such as 'Crop tool' 'Burn Tool' 'Drop Shadow' 'Blur tool' and many more. However these where the ones I used the most.
Once I had taken my pictures of my model and chosen the one I wanted to used for my front cover, I put into Photoshop and began working on it, below are the stages I went through whilst using different tools too adapt and create a better final picture than the one I had taken originally.

I used a variety of different technologies in the production of my magazine, Before I could begin any of the designing I had to take photos. However, even before I did this I had to research into real music magazines to get an idea about how to pose my models and about what to include in terms of mise-en-scรจne, etc.
I used a digital camera for taking my pictures because A. Its very easy to transfer my pictures form the camera onto photoshop etc and B. Because the digital camera I used was of a high quality and produced high quality photos. For the all my pictures I used a Samsung PL60, and took photos on a variety of different settings, such as beauty shot (which retouches the subjects skin and tone to make it feel fresh and blemish-free) This was very easy to use as it was a lightweight digital camera. Using this camera I feel totally in control of how and what I wanted the pictures to look like. It has so many different settings I could test them all out and see which looked the best and so on. When I began taking pictures they were weak, however as the weeks progressed and my time with the camera increased so did my knowledge and technique.
